ATMOSPHERE & SHAPES, Day 8

I'm not sure where this flock of Reuleaux is flying, but I like the cartoon-y surrealistic impression of somewhat scatter-brained movement across the page!

This piece has an evocative tone, teasing me with the feeling that I've seen a similar something before.

This is so fun! I watched birds flock today. Or try to, in the heavy wind. This makes me think of Disney. But in all fairness, Snow white is on the TV right now. LOL. Love the clouds, the colors and the streaking wispyness!

Thanks, Sheila. This flock reminds me a little of Disney's Goofy—with their noses pointed in different directions; their aerodynamics are a bit off-kilter, making them a humorous band of pilgrims!

Carol, thanks—I agree, I got the atmosphere rocking here, yay! It was fun to use collage and tone-on-tone scribbles.

I eagerly await your next post. You DO remember that I told you that I took as long as I wanted (months, as it turned out) to complete the prior workshop I did, since it was self-paced and had no live component. No hurry.

The collage pieces also remind me of knights' shields, flying through the air ...
