ATMOSPHERE & SHAPES, Day 4

My investigation here involved exploring how to create an atmosphere of quiet soft dense fog.

I think the investigation needs to remain open!

I did considerable veiling—still takes a push from me—but using a paint knife in combination with painting over collage pieces seems to make for a rough patchy quality that isn't at all what I was after. This looks like fog and starch having a fist fight!

I do like the perky little triangles and circles with their saturated colors, though.

hahahaha, Love "fog and starch having a fist fight!" Thank you for the laughter Dotty! I think I see a Roman robot coming out of the mist. Wonder what he's up to!

You gave me a laugh in return, Sheila—what IS that Roman robot up to?! I needed the laugh big time, so I thank you : )

Hi Dotty!
So good to keep experimenting even when you think: the fog is dense...

Have a lovely thanksgiving, again!

It's all a grand experiment, isn't it?!

Thanks for the Thanksgiving wishes. My family and I have been reminiscing today, as we often do, about when we lived in the Netherlands and went to a service for Americans at the Pieterskerk in Leiden; the Pieterskerk is where Pilgrims from England worshipped after they'd left England and were in the Netherlands temporarily before sailing for the New World to settle.

Sorry I don't see any "starch"! I see a lively conversation between the triangles and the hidden circles.... they want a few more in their collection!! Hope you had a pleasant Thanksgiving!

Hmm, so maybe these are blown glass decorative pieces nestled into shredded paper in a gift box of some sort, and others will be join them momentarily to fill the box : )
