MONOCHROME STRIPES, Day 10

This post marks the end of Lesson 7, a lesson that I actually completed about a week ago in real time.

I'm exploring that barn again, with its dim lighting, its cool air, its deep shadows, its old splintery timbers, its traces of animal smells. I am content, relaxed, just poking around, not thinking about much of anything.

Monostripes #10 (paint quilt)

Dotty, this is a masterpiece. I see the fading light in the sky, firelight, or lamplight within, and a bit of the moon reflecting. Really love this one!

And the total fun of these paint quilts is that I was doing nothing more than using up leftover paint on my brush, which happened to be monochrome browns, and making stripes, which was the lesson requirement. The real lesson: "try" less! Thanks for your poetic feedback.

I agree with Sheila. This one is really beautiful!

And I think this is also one side of painting: just doing, just playing, nothing particular earthshattering, enjoying it. And sometimes beauty comes out!

Thank you.

And, EXACTLY! Three cheers for just doing, just playing, nothing particularly earth shattering, enjoying it : )
