Holy moly.
Tried my damnedest but couldn't cover a 9x12" sheet of paper that fast no matter the intensity of my intent, even with brush loaded before starting the timer.
Gotta say: fast is way more fun than fussy. Freeing as all get-out.
Painted, scribbled, lifted.

Ha! My friends tell me how fast I paint. Not always true. But I know what you mean..getting fussy gets old FAST! LOVE these colors and your energy, Dotty.
Hi Laurie, love your putting words to to slow fussy painting by pointing out that the only speed associated with it is that it gets old FAST! Glad you enjoyed the colors and energy. These are starts to … who knows what?! I'm out of state, at my dad's, grabbed a limited # of student grade blick paints. Everything about this exercise pushed me to be in the moment and let go into whatever.
LOVE these colors and they do seem to match the energy with which you were painting! I have a sudden craving for some Starburst :)

Each painting I did made me laugh! I'm hoping I might be able to move more quickly at home. There were parts of my situation of being away that got a bit in my way. No matter, it's a fun goal to strive for. I'm so glad to have Jane/this class pushing me to let go and FLY.
