Five Minutes. Really.
When I started working on developing the second half of my five-minute-aka-eight-minute painting, I realized that—much as I wanted to step into timelessness and paint until I chose to stop—I had seriously limited time.
So, I worked for five minutes.
Really.
Added some textural layers.
Nothing else.

Isn't the whole concept of 5-minute-paintings wonderful!
I love putting my perfectionism on hold, give myself permission to play around for 5 minutes, without expectations. And knowing: one can always create. Always!

Simone, always! And, I think we're going to get plenty of chances to play around for 5 minutes without expectations when we do the Jane Davies 100 Drawings class at the end of the summer!

Thanks, Sheila. I don't often think to include speckles but I like the way doing so can add deep color but in a delicate way. You use speckles more often than I do, I think—thanks for leading the way : )
