Dropped Anchor Again

My boat is rocking a little. I don't quite have my bearings.

Anchored, waiting …

black and white in progress

I love the underlying layers, squiggles and black background Dotty. There is a big eye watching our every move that may need a pair of sunglasses before the boat stops rocking.....Hugs G xxxx

I recognize the feeling. And I guess for any development this period of uncertainty is crucial....
At least, that is what I say to myself when my boat rocks ;-)

Thanks, Gillian. Underlying layers, squiggles, black background—all relatively new in my painting life. Fun to explore. That big eye is indeed watching!

Simone, thanks for your support and interest.

I am surprised and delighted to be OK with the rocking boat, the loss of bearings—the uncertainty. Through painting, I'm starting to develop friendships with all sorts of feelings I used to be uncomfortable with.

I think that if uncertainty shows up it is crucial, but I also think it isn't inherent—sometimes there will be development without it.

I see a bouquet of white roses that a bride is eagerly waiting to use on her walk down the aisle.

A June wedding! LOVE hearing what you see—you've painted a picture in return : )

Oh that eye! Am I in trouble? I hear the Twilight Zone theme in my head. (spinning spirals) (Learn something new every day. There were different "lyrics for each season opening>)
"You're traveling through another dimension,
a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind;
a journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination.
That's the signpost up ahead-- your next stop . . . the Twilight Zone!"

Sheila, the Twilight Zone is a terrific association for this piece, and for the mystery of painting in general—thank you!
