Third Egg Hatches

Worked on this third piece with the stripes running horizontally, rotating the square periodically to swap out which edge would be at the top, which at the bottom as I went along. In the end, though, turned it 90 degrees and decided to go with vertical stripes.

If you want to play a visual game akin to those you might find in a Highlights magazine, you can look at this post and this to see where a few pieces of collage originated. Great fun to use elements from those exercises done awhile back.

The nest is getting crowded:

A beautiful still life with sliced oranges on plates and a great tablecloth. A couple small bowls of grapes and you've got breakfast! And oh the dynamism of a complementary scheme!
