Today I painted a fourth paper prayer in my current series. This one will join my bookmark collection, but it's more than just a bookmark. It's a place holder in my heart for my cousin Sue—sister of Dee, Judy, and Cilla—who died in 2008.
Love you and miss you, Sue-Sue.

Continues to be my favorites, too, Dotty. I'm thinking- these colors, these patterns, all in a BIG swatch. Check out the sites that make a shower curtain, a rug, a bed spread, etc., out of YOUR art. How cool! But they're beautiful as they are, and the message that goes with them is even better. But I'm just sayin.....

Laurie, thanks for the inspiration to go check out BIG swatch possibilities for these colors and patterns. My local friend Nicky has said more than once that many of my pieces make her think of fabric or gift wrap possibilities. Time to do some research!
Thanks, Simone. I, too, love when 'things' become meaningful. I was just reflecting yesterday on how much I love my bookmarks as a way of appreciating art—there's enough times between viewings, and there is no competing art at the same time as there would be in a gallery, and I get such fresh pleasure each time I view one of those little pieces anew.
