Homing In

The focus of the lesson I'm working on is composition. In order to focus on composition, I'm to use a limited palette, i.e. tints, tones, and shades of a single color. Use a loose grid format. Stay with squares and rectangles.

Humbling.

Yay! Glad this hit the mark with you. I never know when I'll be challenged nor by what. This little exercise challenged me in several ways, a challenge I was happy to play with.

Love it! I really like the torn bits in there with all those hard edges :)

Sheila, thanks for bringing my own attention back to the softnesses juxtaposed against hardnesses.

Great excerise, and you nailed it. As I look at this, I'm thinking "busy, busy corporate large building. Bustling during the day with important business deals, wall to wall people working, trying to make a living." But this is night time and all is quite. Tomorrow it will begin again!
