Laurie, thanks for your comments. Always welcome! What brought you back to a December painting today? Thank you for bringing ME back to it today! I sent it as a card to welcome CJ so I no longer have it to look at live. I continue to like the unzipped opening into mystery at its center.

Barb, thanks for commenting on this card. Baby's arrival was particularly poignant because his Grandma, my husband's sister, died about eight weeks before he was born. As I revisit my painting now, I feel as though I am looking through a little opening in the curtain—an opening that often occurs at birth and death—to catch a glimpse of the vast mystery underlying what we know here on earth.
